Name.
This culture takes its name from an hypogeum close to the city of Cagliari, where the first evidences have been found.

Areas included in this culture.
Except for a weak presence in the area around Sassari, the culture from Monteclaro is concentrated in two main zones:
� Campidano, from Oristano to Cagliari
� Sulcis

The most important hypogeum are:
� Noeddale
� Marinaru
� Su Crucifissu

There are also some large villages:
� Sa Corona (Villagreca)
� Ruinalis de Segafenu (Nuraminis)
� Su Guventu ed Enna Pruna (Mogoro)
� Campu e Kresia (Simaxis)

Some other villages are located in the older area of the culture of S. Michele:
� Su Cungiau de is Fundamentas (Simaxis)
� Conca Illonis (Cabras)
� Fenosu (Palmas)
� Puisteris (Mogoro)
� M. Olladiri (Monastir).
