Not only does the museum offer relics from the First World War, but also Napoleonic memorabilia, not numerous but definitely very important. Among them, vintage weapons such as the famous Chassepots rifle, the small-swords Gioacchino Murat used to wear when he was King of Naples as well as records from the colonial wars and from the fascism period.
The wax collection composed of four hundred pieces is one of the most important in Europe. To be mentioned is one of General Villa Santa's ceroplastics collection, previously kept in Florence. The work dates back to the period between the sixteenth and the nineteenth-centuries. Some of these pieces, such as the Dead Christ made by the Giambologna's artists, are unique for the perfection of their shapes and the unbelievable naturalness of their colours.
