This route has as its fundamental stage the visit of the barrack-like building of Punta Giglio, the only preserved war outpost present in the territory. The panorama spaces from the bay of Porto Conte to the vertical side of Capocaccia, up to the bay of Alghero. In the cliffs varieties of volatile nest, among which gulls, sea crows, small hawks, and kestrel and if we are lucky we can also see the Sardinian wild boar.
To reach the about 80 meters a.s.l. of Punta Giglio, the Pine Forests of Punta Negra , of the Bombarde (crossing an amusing single-track behind the sea) and of the Lazzaretto are crossed up to the Village of Maristella.
From here, we plunge into the Pine Forest of Punta Giglio, reaching, on a not very difficult compact slope, the altitude of 130 meters a.s.l., to face then an amusing and challenging downhill on rocky road surface, to reach the barrack-like building. After a standstill, we re-enter crossing another brief downhill of stones to tackle with a certain caution. Reached the level of the sea, the Bay of Porto Conte can be admired, returning then to the city.
