Main objective of this excursion is to observe from near the flora and the Mediterranean fauna present inside the protected area “Ark of Noè", and to admire the magnificent panoramas. We can meet the “Equine of the Jar" along the journey that brings to “Cove of the Boat", vertical cliff about 100 meters a.s.l., where the sight enjoys on the Plain island, place of ideal nest-building for sea birds like the Sea Crow, Pilgrim hawk and Corsican gull; other kinds of birds of prey among which the Kestrel and the Griffon, by now on the road to extinction, nest more to the inside.
The itinerary continues up to reach the 361 meters a.s.l. of the Timidone Mountain, where we can be enjoyed of a sight of 360° of the panoramas of Porticciolo, Porto Ferro, Isola Piana, Capocaccia, and Tramariglio and of the bay of Porto Conte. The long downhill with some winding roads is very amusing and flowing and brings on the principal footstep, up to reach the entry where a picnic area is found, shaded by the Pine forest, where to refresh and to rest ourselves before the return to Alghero .
