L'Hostel Rodia is placed in the more important area of pubblic park and gardens in Oristano and it is just 3 km. from the beautiful beach of Torregrande.

February, The "Sartiglia". In Carneval time there is one of the most famous celebration in Sardinia with the Sartiglia that put together folklore and gastronomy, where the horsemans dressed in Sardinian Customs run all around the City to take the star.
August, Sea Feast. On taste fresh fish as gilthead, mullets, large Eels and Truffles.
September, Village Feast. Fair Market of livestock, agriculture with big exhibitions of bread, sweets and wines.

History:
The old name of Oristano was "Aristanis, which means surrounded the ponds.It has been the Capital of Arborea that has got the blooming expecially during the Eleonora of Arborea administration.
Today, Oristano has became very attractive for all people who love shopping and walk in the storic centre where it is possible to visite Piazza Roma with the Tower of San Cristoforo, the Eleonora House that dates from sixteenth century, the Parpaglia Palace, the "Antiquarium Arborense" centre and the Archeological Museum with a big Neolithic collection of Sardinian history primitive, Punic and Romanesque Age.
Oristano is overlooking the sea and it is at about 35 km from low and sandy Coasts and also rocky points. A cycleway comes directly from the Ostello to the seasides of Torregrande.
