Isle of La Maddalena (Sassari). The B&B “Da Luisa" is an outlying independent house with private parking. At your disposal: en-suite double room with TV and independent entrance, terrace. Kitchenette's use under request. Breakfast is served either in the garden or in the patio. The room cannot be set as triple, therefore is only suitable for a couple or for single occupancy. Smoking is allowed in the terrace only . The sea is a 5-minute drive away. For all sport's lovers, in the area there is the possibility of practicing diving, riding and cycling. In the village there are several services including restaurants, pizzerias, bars, supermarkets and hospital.

The Isle of La Maddalena is in the northern part of Sardinia and can be reached only by ferry boats departing from Palau (the trip lasts 15mins). The isle is linked to Caprera through the bridge “Passo della Moneta". The National Marine Park is made up by small islands, most of them deserted and featuring rose beaches and granite rocks. They all boast fabulous sea. La Maddalena is the only inhabited island: it has a nice town centre and the meteorological observatory of Guardia Vecchia. Caprera, the island where Garibaldi lived, is the second for width and it also hosts a famous sailing centre in the Porto Palma gulf. Eventually there are Spargi, Budelli, Razzoli and S. Maria. Spargi is renowned for its beaches including Budelli and its pink sand (the colour depends on the fragments of organisms laid there by the sea). Other famous beaches are S. Maria and Razzoli. Several historical characters marked the history of these islands; the most important was Giuseppe Garibaldi, the “two-word hero", who had a granite rock at the entrance of the island carved with the following words: “Caprera will be my park". A century on, Caprera actually became a park with the house-museum of Garibaldi and an important botanical garden.
In La Maddalena and Caprera it is possible to take part in several guided excursions. Do not miss the excursions to Budelli, Razzoli and Cala Coticcio.
In La Maddalena and the surrounding area there are the following monuments: the parish church with a silver cross and two chandeliers donated by admiral Nelson to express his gratefulness to the town for having him in 1804; a museum with the treasures of a roman wreck discovered in 1950s. In the area there are also several fortresses and lighthouses.
We suggest renting a car, the B&B is in the countryside
