The B&B is located 1 km from the centre of Pula, and 1.5 km from Nora, where there is the nearest beach.
THE BED AND BREAKFAST
The Arrieras Bed and Breakfast is a recently rennovated villa. It has large grounds with a garden and an orchard where guests can gather seasonal fruit. Just inside the entrance there is a living room where guests can relax and browse a selection of leaflets about Pula and the surrounding area. The bedrooms are located on the ground floor, with the exception of one twin room (with a double bed) which is found in the converted loft. All the rooms have an ensuite bathroom, and on request can be provided with air condtioning. The bedroom in the converted loft also has a small living room.
All the rooms are very comfortable and beautifully furnished with new furniture. Breakfast is served in the living room or, when the weather is nice, on the patio.
Guests can visit breathtaking beaches and swim in an enchanting, turquoize sea. Pula's Piazza del Popolo is a great meeting-place and during the summer it hosts concerts, plays and shows of every type. In the town centre there is a post office, a number of banks, a bus station, tourist information, first aid, pizzerias, restaurants and any other shop or service you might need.
THE LOCAL AREA
On the very edge of Pula you can find the imposing ruins of the Phoenician and later Roman town of Nora. It is one of the most important archaeological sites in the Mediterranean, and is particularly noteworthy for its elaborate mosaics, its public baths, its temples and above all the roman amphitheatre, that often hosts events during the summer. Close to the ruins you can visit the church of Saint Efisio, the patron saint of Cagliari, whose statue is carried here at the beginning of May in pilgrimage. About 15 km (9 miles) from Pula you will find Chia, famous for its stunning white sandy beaches, that stretch for hundreds of metres and are bordered by tall dunes. A few minutes' drive from Chia you can visit a number of beaches, Capo Teulada and the island of San Pietro. Lovers of sport can go windsurfing, horse-riding and diving, and can play tennis, golf and many other sports.
