In Aritzo and Dorgali for Autumn in Barbagia 2011
Autumn in Barbagia Cortes Apertas 2011 keep on inviting you to discover Sardinia. And on 28, 29 and 30 October, the rendez-vous will be in Aritzo and Dorgali, a great chance to have a taste of rich craftsmanship, artistic and culinary traditions. Two villages of Barbagia representing the two souls of the area: sea and mountains.
In Dorgali, artisans will show their skills in the old shops and in the houses courtyards during Saturday and Sunday. You can attend to the work on horse shoes and the shoeing of horses, the making of art knives, the preparation of wheat and of cow’s milk cheese. In piazza there’ll be the chance to taste traditional Sardinia’s dishes such as seadas.
In Aritzo, Autumn in Barbagia Cortes Apertas 2011 will open with the king food of this period of the year: the chestnut. Are scheduled guided tour in century-old chestnut trees woods of Geratzia, eating caldarroste (roasted chestnuts) and the new wine. There will be also plenty of chances to attend to musical shows and traditional parades.
