Sardinian recipe: lamb with saffron

Lamb with saffron is a recipe which can brag about the presence, between its ingredients, of two of the most classic products of Sardinia.

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • Lamb Kg 1.5
  • Tomato sauce 100 g
  • Saffron 0.2 g
  • 1 onion
  • Olive oil
  • Salt

Preparation:

  1. Cut the lamb in stews and let it cook brown with chopped onion in oil.
  2. Add the saffron powder melted in warm water and wait for the sauce to reduce.
  3. Lower the fire, pour the tomato sauce and keep on cooking until the sauce thicken.
