The winter still rages here in Sardinia, but the sun makes us want to look ahead. Among the events, each year, marking the change of seasons is certainly the Citrus Festival of Muravera (Cagliari).
On this occasion become tradition, the population of Muravera celebrates the excellence of citrus production of the Sarrabus area. But it is also an opportunity to celebrate the incoming spring and to renew the close link with the folklore featuring all events in Sardinia.
For this, the Citrus Festival of Muravera gives the welcome to travelers with its traditional costumes, garish colored and rustic but refined decorated. It will be the occasion to evoke scenes of everyday rural life through the traditional representations of etnotraccas, but also to savor the sumptuous compositions of living in the traccas parade (typical Sardinian festively decorated floats).
All this will be the backdrop to the ubiquitous citrus that will provide the best possible welcome to the visitor, giving their fragrance and their flavor and enriching the dishes of the tasting, accompanied by other local products.
If you feel like Spring sunshine, do not miss it in the 2012 edition of the Citrus Festival. It will be in Muravera, April 15.
