Su Prugadoriu 2011 is the event taking place in Seui, Sardinia, near the wonderful town of Sadali, since 15 years ago. Traditionally it coincides with the time and the idea of Halloween and will take place from 30th October to 1st November. Last edition attracted more than 10.000 visitors from whole Italy.
The sagra de Su Prugadoriu, as usual, will take place in the historical center of Seui, celebrating the ancient children use of going door by door asking for offers to ease the purgatory souls pains. The vigil of the event, on 29th October, will be characterized by the show of the Spanish painter Jusepe de Ribera’s (Spagnoletto) work “San Cristoforo”. That will be the chance for the award ceremony of the painting contest on the theme of the reinterpretation of the tenebrism movement (1600) in a modern key.
During the following days, there will be other chances to discover the culture of this area of Sardinia (of the past and contemporary) in events such as: Sardinia editorial show, conference on Sardinian language, multimedia projects, cinema and comics.
