All about the island of Sardinia

DAY 1 (Monday or Thursday)
When you arrive in Cagliari in the mid-morning, you will be accompanied by your guide to the hotel. After the check-in, you will have lunch in a trattoria in Cagliari and then you will discover the historic center of the city. Dinner at the hotel in Cagliari.

DAY 2 (Tuesday or Friday)
You will leave for Dolianova, where you will visit a cheese factory and, at the end of the visit, you will take part in a workshop and you can also taste the company's products. This complete tour also includes the transfer to the nearby town of Serdiana, where you will visit a winery (currently award-winning internationally) and taste wines with typical local products. The last stop of the day will be a visit to the cathedral of San Pantaleo, then return to the city and enjoy some free time to rest or go shopping in the streets of the center. Dinner at the hotel in Cagliari.

DAY 3 (Wednesday or Saturday)
The first stop on this day is a visit to a former Carbonia mine which was one of the major Italian electricity production sites between the 1930s and 1950s. The mine still allows us to imagine and understand the difficult and dangerous working conditions of the miners. After this visit, a atypical lunch in a local farmhouse and in the afternoon a walking tour in the center of Carbonia, to discover the rationalist architecture of the city and its interesting archaeological museum. After returning to the city, free time. Dinner at the hotel in Cagliari.

DAY 4 (Thursday or Sunday)
After check-out, departure for Mogoro, the largest town in Marmilla, center of ancient traditions, knowledge and typical flavors. Here you will visit an artisan textile studio and discover the traditional techniques of the area. You will then continue to Oristano and, after check-in, you will have lunch at one of the exceptional fish farms in Cabras. In the afternoon you will visit the archaeological site of Tharros, testimony of the peoples who have shaped it over two millennia. Finally, you will stop in the village of San Salvatore, a small uninhabited medieval village that is populated only a few days a year (in early September) for the famous Corsa degli Scalzi. Dinner at the hotel in Oristano.

DAY 5 (Friday or Monday)
You will discover two other interesting archaeological sites in the heart of Sardinia; first the Roman baths of Fordongianus, a fascinating example of Roman wisdom, and in the afternoon the well of Santa Cristina in Paulilatino, a Nuragic sanctuary with magical charm. Enjoy an exceptional lunch at a restaurant in the area. Return to Oristano for dinner at the hotel and overnight.

DAY 6 (Saturday or Tuesday)
Check-out and departure for Bosa, a splendid village with ancient origins where tradition and modernity are combined. In addition to the beautiful historic district of Sa Costa, you will visit the Malaspina Castle (with its Palatine chapel) and, outside the village, the church of San Pietro. Lunch in a local restaurant. You will then visit one of the cellars where malvasia is produced, a sweet wine made from the vines present in this region. You will stop in Tinnura to admire the murals that characterize this small town in the ancient subregion of Planargia. Finally, you will leave for Nuoro, where you will have dinner at the hotel.

DAY 7 (Sunday or Wednesday)
During this day you will discover the ancient Sardinian traditions in the heart of one of the most fascinating regions of our island: Barbagia. In the morning you will visit on foot the center of Orgosolo, a village-museum characterized by suggestive murals. Then you will live the unforgettable experience of lunch with the shepherds in the countryside. In the afternoon you will go to Mamoiada, a town known for its traditional carnival, which is one of the oldest popular celebrations on the island. Here you will visit the beautiful Museum of Mediterranean Masks and an artisan workshop. Return to Nuoro for dinner at the hotel and overnight.

DAY 8 (Monday or Thursday)
After check-out, you will leave for Dorgali to visit the Ispinigoli caves, which house a limestone column 40 meters high. Afterwards you will enjoy an excellent lunch in the restaurant adjacent to the caves, overlooking the wild valleys of the Supramonte. In the afternoon you will visit an ethnographic museum (the largest in Sardinia) where you will discover everything about Barbagia. Then you will eleave for Olbia, with a short break to visit a traditional bakery in Siniscola. Dinner at the hotel in Olbia.

DAY 9 (Tuesday or Friday)
During this long day you will discover northern-eastern Sardinia, the most appreciated area by the international jet set. You will leave for Palau, where you will embark for the island of La Maddalena. Once disembarked, the first stop will be the beautiful Garibaldi compendium on the island of Caprera followed by a walking tour of the center of La Maddalena. You will then have lunch in a typical restaurant in the center and embark to return to Palau, then you will reach Arzachena where you can visit the mysterious tombs of the giants. Returning to Olbia, you will make a short stop in Porto Cervo. Dinner at the hotel in Olbia.

DAY 10 (Wednesday or Saturday)
Check-out and departure for Calangianus, a small town in the heart of Gallura that has always been linked to the processing of cork, another symbolic material of our island. Here you will visit the Cork Museum. Our complete tour of Sardinia will then stop in Tempio Pausania, a small town with a picturesque historic center with granite buildings and pavements and tree-lined roads. Here a light lunch in a small restaurant, followed by a short walk in the center. In the afternoon you will continue to Aggius, a delightful medieval village where you will visit the interesting Museum of Banditry. You will continue to Alghero, where you will enjoy some free time before dinner at the hotel.

DAY 11 (Thursday or Sunday)
You will continue towards Torralba, where you will visit a splendid nuraghe, one of the most significant testimonies that we have inherited from the Nuragic civilization. You will have lunch in an excellent farmhouse and then continue towards Codrongianus, where you will discover the Basilica of Saccargia, an architectural jewel in the Romanesque-Pisan style of the XII century. On your return to Alghero, you will enjoy some free time. Dinner at the hotel.

DAY 12 (Friday or Monday)
In the early morning you will visit a coral artisan workshop. The coast of Alghero is called Riviera del Corallo (Coast of the Coral) that is why the city boasts a very long tradition linked to the processing of the precious gold of the sea. Then you will have a stop at the Capocaccia promontory, from where you can enjoy a breathtaking view and take souvenir photos. You will visit one of the many oil mills in the area and then you will have lunch in a nearby farmhouse. In the afternoon, you will have a tour in the historic center of the city.
Then the visit of the center will follow, to discover the most important historical and cultural points of interest of the city, where you can still breathe the Catalan atmosphere, thanks to the Aragonese and Spanish dominations. Free time and dinner at the hotel in Alghero.

DAY 13 (Saturday or Tuesday)
After breakfast and check-out, transfer to the airport and departure by the end of the morning.
