Pula, a village known for tourism and farming, includes a part of the Sulcis area with the regional forest Pixinamanna.
Among this area's more interesting attractions is the Phoenician city of Nora, probably the oldest built in Sardinia. The archaeological area is very well kept and shows the evidence left following the Punic and Roman dominations. Nora used to be considered one of the main landing places in the Mediterranean area, thanks to its strategic position. Today, part of the ruins have still not been uncovered, but visitors can still admire the beauty and the prosperity that Nora enjoyed in past times.
Pula is not only history and archaeology, but also beautiful coasts quite appreciated by the numerous tourists crowding the area's beaches and resorts, for the most part during the summer.
Pula is also important for the Italian Golf Open that takes place at the Is Molas Golf Club. Every year, this sport's most important champions and numerous VIPs meet here.
Not to be overlooked is the little church very close to the golf club. It has recently become a place of worship for believers and pilgrims from all over Sardinia. The church is dedicated to the Capuchin friar Fra Nazareno, born in this area. He died, considered a saint by many, a few years ago.
